2019 Race Season Preview
Probably the biggest news for the 2019 race season at ERP is that we will be hosting a new Summit Bracket Finals on September 5-8. This is a race that racers from ERP and 7 other Midwest race tracks will be able to send up to two 25 car teams from their bracket race points series to compete for some outstanding purses and a chance to advance to the IHRA Summit World Finals in Memphis. This along with the fact that IHRA has offered the tracks a new class called Sportsman with all of the benefits of the Summit Super Series makes this a very exciting year for our bracket racers. We will have 5 classes competing for points at each of our 17 points races, Top, Mod, Footbrake, Sportsman, and Jr Advanced.
Special events for 2019 at ERP is highlighted by the 23rd annual Musco Lighting Night Of Fire returning with 2 days of some incredible match races featuring Nitro F/A`s, T/F, & F/C`s, Jet F/C`s & Dragsters, Fireworks, Ozark Mountain Super Shifters, and much more on July 5 & 6
Then on August 16 & 17 we host the 14th annual Quick Performance World Fuel Altered Nationals, which will feature 20 plus F/A`s, Gassers, and Ozark Mountain Super Shifters,
On June 8 we will see the return of the Midwest Nostalgia and No Box Nationals featuring the Victory Nostalgia Super Stocks, Gassers with more to be announced.
No Prep racers and fans have 2 great events returning for 2019 on July 13, and on September 28 presented by Quick Performance. Don`t miss this exciting door car action!
Door Car fans & racers will have 2 other events to be part of as we have 2 events called Street Car/Bike Shootout. These will have 8 heads up classes for door cars and street bikes on a regular prepped race track with instant green starts and clocks off. Dates are June 16 & Aug. 24.
Jr Dragsters will see the return of the IHRA Jr Dragster Halloween Nationals on Oct. 11-13. Hopefully the weather will cooperate better in 2019 than for the last 2 years for this great event.
Bracket racers will have a big dollar race for all 4 points bracket classes on Aug. 3 & 4 thanks to Driskell Racing Engines along with the normal big purses on the holiday weekends for Top and Mod. On June 23 we will have the IHRA Iron Man Classic with racers in Top, Mod, Footbrake, Sportsman, & Jr Advanced all competing for a coveted IHRA Iron Man trophy.
Special classes will run on select events during the year including the Quick Performance Midwest Pro Outlaw, Advanced Transmission Top Sportsman/Top Dragster, Sweet Corn Outlaws, North Central Super Street Series, R/J Performance Street Bike Series, Teen Championship Racing, a Mopar Special, Midnight Madness, Box/No Box bike races, and pit vehicle races.
