TOMMY JOHNSON JR VS BRUCE LITTON IN TOP FUEL AT MUSCO LIGHTING NIGHT OF FIRE

Iowa’s favorite son, Tommy Johnson Jr. will return to where his career started at Eddyville Raceway Park (Oskaloosa, IA) behind the wheel of a Bruce Litton prepared Top Fuel Dragster at the Musco Lighting Night of Fire, Saturday, July 3.

Johnson, Jr. will take on former IHRA Top Fuel National Champion and the likeable Bruce Litton. Litton from Indianapolis, IN has been hitting the IHRA match race schedule this season and plans to attend several NHRA National Events as well.

Meanwhile, Johnson Jr will be behind the wheel of a Don Schumacher Racing prepared Top Fuel Dragster at the Yas Marina Circuit while working to develop the United Arab Emirates’ drag racing program.  He leaves for overseas in March and will return to the States to prepare and attend the match race at Eddyville Raceway Park on the 4th of July Holiday Weekend.

“To have Tommy Jr. return to ERP is a dream come true” said Track Operator Gerald Kramer. “He has made everyone at ERP and Iowa for that fact, very proud with all his NHRA wins” he continued.

In addition, to the Top Fuel match race, The Musco Lighting Night of Fire will feature Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars, a Jet Car match race with Fran Peppler in her Rock-n-Roll Thunder Funny Car versus Dave Modder in the Dragon’s Frye Dragster.  In addition, Nitro Altereds, Super Shifters and The Chevy Rebellion Wheelstander will also be in attendance.

Make sure you mark you calendars for Saturday, July 3 and the Musco Lighting Night of Fire at Eddyville Raceway Park. It will be one event that you won’t want to miss.
