WILKERSON TO RETURN TO NIGHT OF FIRE, SATURDAY JULY 4th

It's with great pleasure that the Eddyville Raceway Park (Oskaloosa, IA), ownership announced today that popular Nitro Funny Car racer Tim Wilkerson will return the the Musco Lighting Night of Fire on Saturday, July 4, 2009. "We are more than elated to have Tim back at ERP to defend his title" said Scott Gardner, "It means a lot that Tim and his crew chose to participate at ERP based on testing limitations instituted by the NHRA and quite simply how many events that have to race on the NHRA Circuit" he continued.

The Musco Night of Fire will feature Wilkerson, affectionately known as the "Peoples Champion" against Iowa's only Nitro Funny Car owned and operated by Jack Wyatt. Wyatt made his 2009 NHRA debut at the NHRA National Event in Topeka, Kansas. In addition to AA-Nitro Funny Cars the Night of Fire will also feature Nitro Nostalgia Funny Cars of the Chi-Town Hustler, Mo-Town Shaker, Telstar and Dunn and Gone. Also on tap are the powerful Jet Cars, wheelstander, Super Shifters, Nitro Altereds and a Fireworks Display.

Spectator gates open at 12 Noon on Saturday, July 4 with the feature show at 6 PM. Adults are $25, Kids (6-12) $5.
